How corrections work: the methodology
Quick answers
How soon will someone reply?
A person reads every message; when one needs an answer, the reply comes by email within a few days.
How do I report a mistake?
Choose “Report an error” and name the guide and the product. A source for the right figure helps.
Can you remove a quote of mine?
Yes. Choose “A quote of yours”, name the guide and the words, and we take it off the page.
How do I suggest a guide?
Choose “Suggest a guide” and name the kind of product. A public thread or listing where owners discuss it helps.
How are the picks chosen?
From what owners and buyers wrote after using them. The editor sets the order, and each guide says how it was set.
Do brands pay you?
No brand or retailer pays for a place on a list, and the retailer links in our guides carry no referral tag.
Do you sell anything?
This site sells nothing. A pick’s link takes you to its retailer.
Why do the guides show no prices?
So a guide never shows an old price: each pick links to its retailer, whose page shows what it costs today.
What happens to my message?
Only the editor reads it, and it is used only to reply to you, never for a mailing list. You can ask us to delete it.
For brands and retailers
No brand can buy a position in a ranking or a word on a page.
